Interview with Gabriela Panduru: Fashion Is My Voice
Fashion Is My Voice
1. Fashion is often seen as a form of art or a way to follow trends. For you, it seems much more personal. What does fashion mean to you on a deeper level?
Gabriela :
For me, fashion is deeply intertwined with who I am. It’s more than just picking an outfit—it’s an emotional process, almost like storytelling. Each piece I wear reflects a part of my journey, my personality, or even my mood that day. Fashion has always been my escape, a way to free myself from limitations and express things I sometimes can’t put into words. It’s bold, raw, and unapologetic—just like I strive to be.
Through fashion, I’ve learned to embrace my individuality and show the world my unique perspective. It’s where creativity meets authenticity, and for me, that’s incredibly empowering. It’s not about trends or fitting in—it’s about standing out and feeling true to myself.
2. You’ve described fashion as your “voice.” Can you elaborate on how your style helps you express emotions or ideas that words cannot?
Gabriela :
Absolutely. There are moments in life when words just don’t do justice to how you’re feeling. That’s when fashion steps in for me. An outfit can embody emotions—strength, vulnerability, rebellion, or joy—in ways that words never could.
For example, when I feel bold and unstoppable, I might choose something edgy, like leather or dramatic silhouettes. On the other hand, softer fabrics or flowing designs let me express my introspective, dreamier side. Even subtle details like color or texture can carry so much meaning.
Fashion has this incredible ability to connect with people on a universal level. My outfits often provoke a reaction—they challenge perspectives or resonate with others who might feel the same but don’t know how to say it. That’s the beauty of it—it’s a shared language, and it speaks volumes.
3. What advice would you give to someone struggling to find their own voice through fashion?
Gabriela :
Start by letting go of the rules. Forget trends, forget what people say you should or shouldn’t wear. Instead, ask yourself: What makes me feel like me?
Experimentation is key. Try colors you’ve never worn, mix styles that don’t “belong” together, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Style is about discovery. Over time, you’ll find that the pieces you gravitate toward are reflections of your personality, your dreams, and even your fears.
Most importantly, don’t hold back. Fashion is about freedom—it’s your voice, your story, your stage!
The world doesn’t need another copy of someone else; it needs you, in all your unique and beautiful glory.
Gabriela continues to inspire with her fearless approach to fashion, showing that it’s not just about wearing clothes—it’s about embodying your true self.
